Phil’s
Training Methods:
Teaching respect through proper communications is the
foundation to Phil’s training program. Phil will help you
develop this communication skill to achieve a respectful
relationship with your horse. Whether you need a colt
started from the ground up, or finishing touches on a
seasoned horse and everything in between, Phil is available
to help. Phil’s first session with you and your horse will
be an assessment of the following:
1.
Catching your horse
2.
Grooming your horse
3.
Tacking your horse
4.
Ground work with your horse
5.
Riding your horse
The
assessment includes the horse’s response to all of these
steps. Phil will outline the issues and step you through a
plan to resolve them.

"Phil and Sharon helped me overcome my fear of
getting hurt and helped me to become a more confident rider
in both the arena and the trail. Photo left taken at Cronan
Ranch in Coloma CA, a favorite riding and training spot.
Phil and Sharon took me out on trails to teach me and my
horse how to maneuver real obstacles!"

Somerset, CA.

communicators with their horses.
For
the horse
Horses
learn to trust and respond through repetition and
consistency.
It
is not about teaching, it is about communication. Phil’s
